RNLI - Governor

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea.

The organisation is comprised primarily of volunteers and funded in the main by donations.

Three generations of my family have been involved with the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution). Amongst us we have and do make up: Lifeboat Crew, Lifeguards and Governors.

Shortly after I became a Governor, Grant Crockett and I organised and delivered an evening with RNLI Scotland Chair Roger Lockwood at the Riverside in Dunblane.

We smashed our funding target at this intimate event.

Of course it’s not all about the money. An important aspect of the evening is recognising the brave people who save lives at sea.

Fish supper is an annual event country wide. You can even take part from the comfort of your own home.
